Kylie Jenner is honoring her grandparents in a very special way.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star took to Instagram Tuesday afternoon where she shared an impressive new ink job on her forearm. But before you think this is just another tattoo, the 18-year-old wanted to explain the meaning behind the words.

"Grandmothers name in my grandfather's handwriting," she shared on Instagram while showing off the final look.

When a Twitter follower asked what made the fashion designer get the design, Kylie explained that she "was close to my grandfather but he has passed. Wanted to honor both of them."

As for the color choice, Kylie simply stated that "red is different."

Fans of the family's reality show totally know Mary Jo Campbell who currently lives in San Diego where she helps run Shannon & Co Children's Boutique in La Jolla, Calif. She was married to Harry Shannon who ultimately passed away in 2003.

True dolls also know that this isn't the first tattoo Kylie has received in recent months. Back in December, the reality star debuted an ink job that spelled out "sanity" phonetically and sits below her pant line on her right hip.

She even turned the tables in 2014 when she reportedly helped ink her initials onto the hand of Lionel Richie's son Miles.

If history repeats itself, something tells us this won't be the last tattoo we'll see on Kylie. But perhaps the next one will be temporary like that gun or giant body art seen on her forearm.

Just a reminder before you freak your freak parents. Tattoos made from Sharpies can somehow, someway come off.
