InstagramAvril Lavigne enjoyed some quality time with her girlfriends over the weekend.
The punk rock singer joined a few besties in Las Vegas to watch Britney Spears' residency show "Piece of Me" at the Planet Hollywood hotel.
Looking stunning in a black and white beaded mini dress and wearing her golden locks long and straight, Avril smiled from ear to ear while posing for a picture with the Princess of Pop.
"Thank you @britneyspears for having me at your show last night," she captioned the photo. "You looked stunning! We had a spectacular time. #GirlsTrip."
She also shared another photo, posing with her four friends who all looked so happy to be in attendance at the show.
"Besties birthday weekend. #GirlsTrip @britneyspears," she wrote beside the girly photo.
Meanwhile, the trip was definitely a happy getaway for Avril, who's been involved in a tough battle against Lyme Disease for over a year.
In fact, one of the last times she visited Vegas (for her 30th birthday), she ended up sick in her hotel room, which eventually led to her diagnosis. Following that, she was bedridden for five months.
"There were definitely times I couldn't shower for a full week because I could barely stand. It felt like having all your life sucked out of you," the singer said during an interview with People magazine in April 2015. "I felt like I couldn't breathe, I couldn't talk and I couldn't move. I thought I was dying."
She decided to go public about her battle after several months after fans began questioning her absence from the spotlight.
"The get-well messages and videos they sent touched me so deeply," she recalled after coming out about the illness. "I lay in bed watching them and cried so much because I felt loved."
Today, Avril has a new outlook on life. "This was a wake-up call. I really just want to enjoy life from here on out."
After continuing to battle hard, it looks like that's exactly what she's doing!
