Arrow Just Got Some Good News and Some Really, Really Bad News

Things are not looking good for Oliver's son, William

Damn you, Malcolm Merlyn!

As if it weren't bad enough that Damien Darhk's wife, Ruve, was running against Oliver for mayor on Arrow, now their son's got a new friend. After Malcolm's little tip-off, Damien had Oliver's son, William, kidnapped, and now the kid is the Darhks' new houseguest.

This terrible, terrible news came just after Thea found out about the kid during her defensive campaign research, thanks to that million dollar check that was never cashed.

Oliver doesn't yet know that William is in Damien's clutches, but it sounds like he'll find out next week, and it also sounds like he might have to let Felicity in on his little secret. Hopefully, that conversation goes much better this time than it did the last time he tried it and she basically dumped him.

Speaking of Felicity, her wheelchair days may not last much longer. As a wedding present, Curtis has been working on a spinal implant that would allow Felicity to walk again, possibly in time for her wedding.

The news even prompted Oliver to refer to Curtis as "terrific," as a nod to his future as Mr. Terrific.

While that is great news, it's also kind of bittersweet. We were kind of looking forward to Felicity being a badass hero in a wheelchair, and it all just feels a little pointless if she'll be able to walk again in no time.

Of course, all kinds of things could go wrong with a spinal implant that requires a never-ending power source, so who knows what might happen? Something tells us it's not going to be a smooth road straight to recovery.

Also, can we request more Mama Smoak (Charlotte Ross)? Felicity's mom has gone from a slightly annoying presence to a valued member of the family (who also deserves to be let in on the secret!), and we're loving having her around.

What did you think of the episode? How far do you think Damien will go when it comes to William? Sound off in the comments!
