DJ Khaled isn't the only one with major keys to success.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar has had a breakthrough in the music industry ever since he stepped on the scene two years ago with his debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city—and this year proves that his career is on a constant rise.

Leading with 11 (!) nominations for the 2016 Grammy Awards, topping Eminem as the hip-hop artist with the most nods in a single year, the Compton native shares his advice for dreamers who hope to someday achieve their greatest goals while chatting with Ryan Seacrest on E!'s Live From the Red Carpet tonight.

"Put God first, put the work after behind it," he tells us. "Simple as that."

Lamar, who has already won four awards tonight for Best Rap Performance for "Alright," Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "These Walls" (which features Bilal, Anna Wise and Thundercat), Best Rap Album and Best Music Video for Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood," also reflects on all of the blessings brought upon him this past year, saying, "It's been a great honor."

It's also clear that K.Dot's fan base goes far beyond hip-hop lovers and rap aficionados (and President Barack Obama). Fellow musicians have openly expressed their admiration for Lamar, and to that, Kendrick tells E! News, "It's a mutual thing. We challenge each other just to make great music out here and now it's time to celebrate."

Lamar is clearly still awaiting to see if he's going to snag some more trophies tonight, including Best Rap Song and Album of the Year, and should he win big, he's brought on some back-up for manual assistance (those things can get heavy, people).

"I got a little entourage with me, so hopefully we can pull out some more," he tells Seacrest.
