Why Ellen DeGeneres & Portia De Rossi Won't Be Exchanging Valentine's Day Presents

The celeb couple have been married for TK years

If Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi aren't the happiest couple ever, I don't know who is.

I caught up with the two last night at the Saint Laurent fashion show at the Palladium in Hollywood.

We talked Valentine's Day. They'll be spending the romantic holiday at music exec Jimmy Iovine and Liberty Ross' wedding. "It's easy, they did it for us," DeGeneres said.

And get this—the talk show titan and Scandal actress will not be exchanging any Valentine's Day gifts.

"We do so many presents all the time," DeGeneres said. "We don't even give each other presents for Christmas or birthdays anymore. We have everything."

And then she added, "Love and respect—that is all we need."

And that love is stronger than ever. "We don't really need to make it 'work,'" DeGeneres said. "We just found the right person. It's corny, but she's my soul mate. She's my everything to me and I don't know what I'd do without her."

De Rossi smiled, "There it is—that's my Valentine's Day gift."

The couple married in August 2008 in front of about 30 guests at their Beverly Hills estate. They both were Zac Posen and exchanged rings by Neil Lane.
