Watch: Teresa Giudice's Last Day Before Prison

Teresa Giudice's final hours with her family before beginning her prison sentence were "heart-wrenching," the Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed to E! News.

The mother of four explained to Catt Sadler that saying goodbye to each of her daughters was like "tearing my heart out" and that the entire family was "crying together in bed."

When asked which of her little ones was the most distraught over her mother leaving the family home, the author of Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again revealed that Gabriella [Giudice] had the toughest time saying goodbye.

"My second daughter, she was hysterical…She was hyperventilating when she was crying like I never saw her cry like that before and I was just hugging her and kissing her. I was just encouraging her and telling her how much I loved her."

Teresa also shared that "Gabriella emailed me every single day. From what she did, from when she got up, to what she ate for lunch, what she ate for breakfast and what she ate for dinner. Every little detail."

The proud mother printed out all of her daughter's email correspondences and noted that her other girls also made sure to keep in touch frequently.

But before the teary goodbyes, Teresa made sure to share a few special memories with her family the day before turning herself in.

After celebrating Gia Giudice's birthday, the group visited "the church where Joe [Giudice] and I got married," Teresa told Catt. "I wanted the girls to see where mommy and daddy got married and they loved the church, it was so nice."
