The O.C.

Welcome to the ATX, bitch!

Get ready to learn some new secrets from behind-the-scenes of The O.C. because the ATX Television Festival's Season 5 Fest is mounting a reunion of the very writers room that provided us with some of the greatest teen angst to ever grace the small screen. Creator Josh Schwartz is set to chat with writer/executive producer Stephanie Savage and writer Leila Gerstein, with additional panelists to be announced at a later date.

But that's not all The O.C. fun making its way to Austin this June! The festival will also be hosting a script reading of the pilot episode, similar to last year's Dawson's Creek reading, with a cast that remains TBD. Can we nominate ourselves to read Luke's infamous welcoming?

Other festival highlights just announced include:

Panels and screenings with Hulu's Casual, Lifetime's UnREAL, and TV Land's Younger.

A special Friday Night Lights High School Reunion, in association with Texas Monthly, with cast, crew, and fans reuniting on Panther Field for a traditional pep rally, live music, surprise cast appearance, photo opps, Texas "eats," and a special screening of a fan-fave episode.

Departing House of Cards creator and ATX Advisory Board member Beau Willimon moderating a conversation with David Simon (The Wire) and Tom Fontana (Oz), where they'll discuss their professional relationship, including how they came to work together on Homicide: Life on the Street.

First-time panelist Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy) will join a previously announced panel on The Shield, while Jennie Urman (Jane the Virgin) will make her first appearance to discuss her hit CW series.

Running from June 9-12, 2016 in Austin, the ATX Television Festival celebrates all things TV—classic shows, never-aired pilots, cancelled too soon series, cult favorites, and current hits. For more information on the festival and badges, visit
