For those of us who could give two chicken wings about the Super Bowl, we have the Puppy Bowl to flip over. Rejoice doggie lovers! The starting lineup has been announced, and Ryan Gosling, Harry Styles and Zac Efron don't even look this cute. According to Zap2it, Animal Planet will be airing the adorableness on Super Bowl Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. Some pups graced NBC's Today Show to give us a preview of the Puppy Bowl. For one, we can expect a lot of puns.

The "rufferee" (ha) made an appearance on Today explaining the types of penalties he calls on the pups. The Puppy Bowl calls a pass interference a "paws interference," and illegal formation is, you guessed it, "illegal fur-mation," he says. Ah, jokes. According to the ref ruff, this is to be the Puppy Bowl's 12th year. If you're curious about the lineup, worry no more. Zap2it posted snaps of the adorable pup-pups to get you pumped for the (better) Bowl. The site also notes the game will host about 50 doggies in total with teams named "Ruff" and "Fluff." Ugh, too cute. Bonus: According to Zap2it, all of the dogs featured on Today, and the Puppy Bowl are up for adoption! Some of the pups featured are Magic the Chihuahua, Miss Sassy the Boston Terrier and Otis the Bulldog. Dying. So much better than football, let's be real.
