Alicia Vikander has had one hell of a year with her role in The Danish Girl, seeing multiple nominations throughout awards season.

In fact, the stunning actress—who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture—graced the red carpet at the 2016 SAG Awards for the very first time and gushed to E! News' Giuliana Rancic about how surreal the experience has been for her.

"So far I've only seen this on YouTube and on TV back home in Sweden, so I'm very excited to be here," she laughed while looking around the carpet (not to mention, sparkling in her Louis Vuitton gown).

She continued, "Films in English, in general, or in Hollywood or America—that seemed like another world to me from back home. So it's been a lot of these moments over the last two, three years since I first came here. But I love how this is such a big celebration with actors celebrating other actors!"

As far as her biggest "pinch me" moment so far in her career? Vikander says it was definitely the news of her Oscars nomination—something she didn't find out about right away due to a loss of service while filming the next Bourne movie in Las Vegas.

"[Vegas] is a very special place to be, and then I had my parents coming up, visiting me on set," she dished. "And they had never been to the States, and they came to Vegas and saw that. And that's also when the nominations for the Oscars came out. So to be able to celebrate that in Vegas with my parents from home, that was surreal to me."

We can't wait to see what the rest of awards season has in store for the talented beauty!
