And the feud continues…

Donald Trump has fanned the flames again in his heated dispute with Fox News' Megyn Kelly.

The presidential hopeful decided to pull out of Thursday night's Republican debate on Fox due to Kelly's involvement as a moderator for the evening, calling her a "lightweight" and "third-rate reporter" who he refuses to work with. Of course, this all stems from a primary debate this summer during which Kelly called him out for making disrespectful remarks about women.

Speaking of such comments, Trump took to Twitter Wednesday morning to throw even more shade at "The Kelly File" host, refraining from using the derogatory term "bimbo" but still getting his point across loud and clear.

He wrote, "I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!"

Meanwhile, Fox released a statement regarding Trump's decision to pull out of the debate in Des Moines, Iowa later this week.

"We're not sure how Iowans are going to feel about him walking away from them at the last minute, but it should be clear to the American public by now that this is rooted in one thing–Megyn Kelly, whom he has viciously attacked since August and has now spent four days demanding be removed from the debate stage," the statement reads. "Capitulating to politicians' ultimatums about a debate moderator violates all journalistic standards."

Fox also said they refuse to give into any more "terrorizations" directed at Kelly through Trump and his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.

"In a call on Saturday with a FOX News executive, Lewandowski stated that Megyn had a 'rough couple of days after that last debate' and he ‘would hate to have her go through that again.' Lewandowski was warned not to level any more threats, but he continued to do so. We can't give in to terrorizations toward any of our employees."

Despite the rocky situation, however, Fox says Trump is still welcome to take the stage with the other seven Republican presidential candidates, should he choose to do so.

"Trump is still welcome at Thursday night's debate and will be treated fairly, just as he has been during his 132 appearances on FOX News & FOX Business, but he can't dictate the moderators or the questions," they added in the statement.

Trump gave the last word in the dispute, tweeting: "The statement put out yesterday by @FoxNews was a disgrace to good broadcasting and journalism. Who would ever say something so nasty & dumb."
