Viola Davis might be one of the most famous and influential people on television right now, but that doesn't mean her life is all that glamorous behind closed doors.

In fact, when E! News' Sibley Scoles asked her about her red carpet beauty prep at Elle's Women in Television event Wednesday, the How to Get Away With Murder actress practically laughed. It's pretty much non-existent!

"Beauty process, let's see," she began. "Well, I stayed up all night because my daughter had a cough. I think I ate a piece of sausage, some tea. I took a 5-minute nap in my chair on set. I think my makeup artist tweezed some hair from my chin."

Beauty and red carpets aside, even despite her major achievements—you know, like being the first black woman to win Best Actress at the Emmy Awards—Davis remains humble, seeing herself as a working mother rather than an inspiration.

"Listen, I don't see myself as being an influential woman on any given day," she told us. "I can't even get my daughter to go to bed on time!"

LOL! Though that might very well be the case, we know Davis' little one looks up to her mommy. In fact, Genesis aspires to be like her mama so much, she even dressed up as her on Halloween!

Davis took to Instagram to share a photo of her 4-year-old holding her trophy and imitating her mom's Emmy look. "So.....the Elsa costume? Didn't work for her. The Pirate? A no go," Davis wrote beside the adorable photo. "So she finally said, 'I just want to be YOU mommy'! So... uhh....this is ME."

Too cute!
