Last night Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule reunited at the debut of J.Lo's Las Vegas residency, and it's like no time had passed at all.
Because we're still listening to their "I'm Real" and "Ain't It Funny" remixes on the regular. It doesn't need to be Throwback Thursday (even though it is) to enjoy these jams.
Even though they're real, their chemistry is unreal.

It's like every time Lopez and Ja Rule are together they're having the best time.
On the basketball courts, at a block party, on top of a car... the duo danced (and posed in various hats and outfits) all over to give us two of the best music video of the early 2000s.
In the "I'm Real" remix video they're busting moves up on each other and watching kids play at the park, like a music video embodiment of what summer love is.
It's a montage for a perfect relationship.
We would love a Valentine's Day card that just has the lyrics "I'm real / And I can't go on without you" inside of it. That's it. It doesn't need anything else.
With "Ain't It Funny" their friend Cadillac Tah gets to third wheel on their party date where the group hits the recording studio, drinks, and lays down some money.
Considering it's another light-hearted jam set at a chill get-together, this one also gets super-romantic.
"A deeper love I've found in you and I no longer doubt / You've touched my heart and it altered every plan I've made / And now I feel that I don't have to be afraid."
Lopez and Ja Rule's music videos are modern day love stories told by people in the best fashion 2001 and 2002 gave us.
We'll never forget that flawless pink short track suit, J.Lo.
10 years later and we're still trying to figure out how to pull that one off.
Based on the rule (or Ja Rule) of threes, we can expect another remix from these two at some point, right?
