Adele Isn't Alone: See More Music Superstars Who Were Able to Perform at Both the Oscars and Grammy Awards

Lady Gaga and Elton John are just some of the few faces who have graced the two stages

Adele is ready to perform on two stages very few artists have the opportunity to visit.

After belting out "Skyfall" at the Oscars, the singer has graciously accepted an invitation to perform at the Grammy Awards airing next month from Los Angeles. The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and Little Big Town were also announced early Wednesday.

It's a rare situation where a musical performer has been able to perform at two of the biggest award shows in the world. At the same time, it's not completely out of this world impossible.

After the news broke, we wanted to acknowledge a few familiar faces who have been given the rare chance to sing a special tune in front of two very prestigious audiences.

Perhaps The Weeknd and Sam Smith will be next to make the special list. After all, their songs are Oscar nominated this year.

1. John Legend & Common: This duo was the talk of awards season just last year as they performed their award-winning single "Glory" from the movie Selma. The performance even moved Chris Pine and David Oyelowo to tears.

2. Lady Gaga: While performing with Elton John at the Grammys was more than a career high, perhaps it was the Oscars with Julie Andrews that proved to be unforgettable. "I started crying. It was a beautiful moment," she told E! News. "As a child performer and a music lover, you dream your whole life that you will get to perform for somebody like that and it was just magical."

3. Phil Collins: Back in 2000, "You'll Be in my Heart" was nominated for both an Oscar and Grammy. While he was able to perform the song at the Oscars, it was "Another Day in Paradise" that was showcased on the Grammy stage. 

4. Harry Connick Jr.: Rewind to 1991 when the current American Idol judge sang "We Are in Love" at the Grammys. Just a few weeks later, he performed "Promise Me You Remember" from The Godfather: Part lll at the Oscars.

5. Jennifer Hudson: Whether performing a tribute to the late Whitney Houston at the Grammys or delivering a tribute to Dreamgirls at the Oscars, the American Idol alum never disappointed.

6. Elton John: 1995 featured a double dose of Disney wins when the singer performed "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King production. One listen to the song on stage and you'll understand why it beat out the competition.

7. Celine Dion: Long before selling out night after night in Las Vegas, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer was able to perform at both the 1998 Oscars and Grammys.

8. Beyoncé: When she's not rocking out with Ed Sheeran, husband Jay Z or Tina Turner on the Grammys stage, Queen B may just be found at the Oscars. Anyone else remember her performance with Hugh Jackman in 2013? 

The 2016 Grammy Awards air Feb. 15 on CBS while the 2016 Oscars air Feb. 28 on ABC.
