It's 2016 and O.J. Simpson is having the best year ever? Well, not exactly the best year ever, he is in prison after all, but Simpson is the subject of much pop culture conversation again thanks to two things: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and FX's American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson. On the former, Simpson drama came to the forefront when Kathryn Edwards made her Housewives debut.

A friend (acquaintance, really?) of Lisa Rinna's from years ago, Kathryn popped up at Lisa Vanderpump's Hero Dog Awards party and the first thing Lisa Rinna said came to mind was…O.J. Simpson. There were rumors that Kathryn's ex-husband Marcus Allen had an affair with Nicole Brown Simpson. Rumors Faye Resnick included in her book. Yes, the Faye Resnick, Kyle Richards' BFF. You cans see how this is getting complicated.

"Lisa Rinna is someone I have known for over 20 years, and although we hadn't kept in contact over time, she's always someone I enjoy running into. Her energy and humor are in a league of their own, so of course I was happy to see her at Lisa Vanderpump's charity event," Kathryn wrote in her blog. "What I wasn't happy about was that the first thing out of her mouth was O.J...really? OK, if that's what you think when you see me, I guess I haven't made much of any impression on you. Beside the fact that I don't think Rinna ever saw me once with O.J., but whatever...I'll give her new memories."

Kathryn said hearing the ladies talk about her and the events of 22 years ago was "disappointing" and not the way she wanted to start new friendships. "Had I known that there was so much filling in the blanks based on hearsay, I might have thought twice about drinks, but alas...the treat of viewing the conversations after the fact," she wrote. Still, she said the conversation the ladies had over drinks seemed like something that was a long time coming and "something that bothered me for years."

"[S]o hearing Kyle ask me if I know Faye Resnick was a given. The writing was on the wall, and I was expecting it. I wasn't defensive, not even slightly. I expected it, but the truth is that Faye has never met me. I don't even know if she knows what I look like," Kathryn wrote.

Kyle said Kathryn got defensive when the topic of Faye and O.J. Simpson came up. "I think ‘irritated' is a better word than defensive, because for years I got a bad taste in my mouth at the thought of Faye Resnick for a litany of reasons—not all personal to me—but nonetheless, I'm not a fan. I know Kyle and Faye are friends, so I can only surmise that there must be something that I don't see in Faye, something redeeming. People can change, right?"

Faye and Kathryn have their confrontation next week, as seen in the preview above.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays, 9 p.m. on Bravo.

(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
