We don't know whether to laugh or to scream.

Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, we are now privy to one of the most simultaneously disturbing and wonderful scientific phenomenons of our time. Adam Driver officially has a feline doppelgänger. That's right, it's a cat that looks exactly like him. And we mean exactly.

The kitty in question is Corey, a four-legged resident of the Monmouth County SPCA, an animal shelter in New Jersey. The shelter posts pictures of its homeless residents in order to help get them adopted, and one intrepid animal-watcher noticed an insane resemblance. And, naturally, she took to Twitter to share it.

As can be imagined, news of this twin-ship took off. People everywhere couldn't believe their eyes, and then couldn't resist sharing this visual masterpiece. How is it that one teeny tiny cat can so resemble a grown man? The world may never know, but we do know that it's amazing. The story even spread to Mr. Driver's alter ego, Emo Kylo Ren. Naturally, he was not amused. (But is he ever?).

Now you're probably wondering: Great, so this cat looks just like a movie star, but what's in it for Corey? Does he get to appear in the next Star Wars? Does he get to receive millions on the backend? Does he get to acquire hundreds of thousands of social media followers?

Well, no, he doesn't.

But the story does have a happy ending. Corey a.k.a. Kitty Driver got adopted, thanks to all of the Star Wars-related hype. The MCSPCA tweeted out the announcement of the happy news, sharing a picture of the cat with his new owner who, sadly, is not Adam Driver himself.

But here's hoping the happy new mom will get on board with the Internet fame—because the world needs to see more of this cat.
