A lot of people might have a problem with going places solo, but not John Krasinski.

The 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi star opens up to Ellen DeGeneres about going to the 2016 Golden Globes without his wife, Emily Blunt, and how attending "stag" worked in his favor...sort of. Krasinski was placed at Leonardo DiCaprio's table, which is probably a dream come true for some but for him it was a little bit awkward.

"Yeah and that sounds really cool, except I didn't get a chance to meet him and I didn't want to be like, 'Hey man I'm the guy that doesn't have anybody,'" he explains. "And then they won everything, so I'm in the middle of hugs and people are like this is the best year ever and I was like, 'Wasn't it?' And then everybody went up and gave their speech I felt really pretty stupid."

But The Office actor kept his head held high and enjoyed the continuous moments of the cast and crew of The Revenant taking more and more gold statues home.

"Speaking of [The Revenant director] Alejandro [G. Iñárritu], when he won he said hi to everyone and thank you because they all worked on the movie and then turned to me and there was that moment of like, 'Why are you here?' and I was like, 'Congratulations!'"

Awkward moments aside, going solo to the Golden Globes really worked in his favor! Oh, and as for where Blunt was, she's filming a movie so she couldn't attend the glamorous evening.

It's no secret that the 36-year-old celeb has gotten in phenomenal shape for his latest role, posing for spreads that show off his chiseled muscles, but he admits that he had to basically cease having a social life to look that way. "I mean if you invited me over to watch a movie I would just like eat DVDs I was so hungry for so long," he joked.

After his Men's Health cover hit shelves and he could see how it turned out, he didn't recognize himself. "I was like, 'Hello stranger'" he dishes.
