Reports went wild this week with engagement rumors surrounding Olivia Munn and her longtime boyfriend, Aaron Rodgers. However, with the help of her mother, the Ride Along 2 actress shut down any speculation.

As we reported earlier this week, Munn took to Instagram to share a text message conversation with her mom, promising she's not engaged. The brunette beauty then joined Live! With Kelly and Michael on Thursday to set the record straight again, doing her best impersonation of her mom to help.

"No, I did not get engaged. It was just some random magazine that was bored that day and was like, ‘I'm gonna write this story,'" the actress told the hosts. "I had no idea that it got as far as it went until I got random emails from aunts and uncles I haven't spoken to in so long, like, 'Can we come to the wedding?'"

In fact, she was getting so many congratulations and texts reading, "Is it true?" that she thought maybe she'd been nominated for something or landed some major role.

However, she continued, "But then it went a little over the top when my mom texted me, and I normally wouldn't answer yes or no, but since I'm doing press for Ride Along 2, I thought I just have to say no so that I don't have to get asked all the time. So I did it the best way I know how which is to put out a text conversation I had with my mother…I'm like look, let my mom help me out."

At this point, Munn put on her best "Asian woman" accent and began reading her conversation as her mother would, during which the crowd—including Kelly and Michael—couldn't help but bust up laughing over.

But despite the laughter, we have to admit to being a little sad that the couple isn't engaged yet. They're easily one of the most adorable pairs in Hollywood, and we totally wouldn't mind seeing them tie the knot.

Not to mention, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if they did. A source close to the Green Bay Packers quarterback told E! News, "Olivia and Aaron have discussed they want to get married eventually and their future together. All of his friends know she is a great fit for him."

The insider continued, "They are very much in love but they want to make sure it all happens naturally, they always said. She is a big sports fan and a guys-kind-of-girl, so whenever she is out with Aaron it seems very seamless between them. Aaron supports Olivia with her acting and is a very proud boyfriend. There is always non-stop laughter and humor between them when they are out."
