Amber Heard gets to marry Johnny Depp and have super powers? Some ladies get all the luck!

A source confirms to E! News that the 29-year-old actress is in talks with Warner Bros. to star in Aquaman. Per The Hollywood Reporter (which was first to report the potential casting news) Heard will play Mera, the love interest of Aquaman, who will be played by Jason Momoa.

Per DC Comics' website, Mera's powers include "super strength, Durability, Control over water, Exceptional swimming ability [and the] Ability to breathe underwater." She also "rules the seas alongside Aquaman," the bio notes, "and stands as one of the most powerful women in the D.C. Universe."

We can totally picture Heard playing this part! And if all goes swimmingly, she will first appear as Hera in Justice League Part One, which introduces multiple D.C. Entertainment characters including Aquaman (Momoa), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Batman (Ben Affleck).  Per THR, Justice League Part One is due to begin shooting in April 2016 and is set for a Nov. 17, 2017, release.

If you're in need of your superhero fix before then, though, you're in luck: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters Mar. 25. A slew of other DC superhero movies are scheduled for a release over the next two years, actually, but you'll have to wait until July 27, 2018 for Aquaman (the standalone film for Momoa's character and hopefully Heard's) to hit theaters.

On another note, watch Heard show off her buff bod in the video below.
