UPDATE: Dwayne Johnson confirmed Priyanka Chopra's casting via Instagram Tuesday, calling the actress "the biggest start out of India, one of the biggest stars in the world!" The action star also joked that he'll have his "hands full," to which Chopra teasingly replied, "Oh, you have no idea!"

"She's mean!" Johnson joked.

"I'm really mean, Chopra purred.

In the Instagram video caption, Johnson wrote, "She's one of the biggest stars in the world. Insanely talented, relentlessly smokin' and extremely dangerous - perfect for #BAYWATCH. Welcome @PriyankaChopra to our bad ass and slightly dysfunctional family. Cue RATED R slo-mo running on the beach. We start shooting next week. World.. #WelcomeToBaywatch."

E! News can exclusively confirm that Chopra has been cast as the villain. The role was originally written for a man and was changed to a woman with her casting. She begins filming Feb. 29 and will go back and forth between filming Baywatch and her ABC series Quantico until mid-April.

E! News can confirm the Quantico star is in talks to join the upcoming Baywatch feature film adaption starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

While nothing is official, the casting possibility has generated further excitement for a project that has been making some news in recent weeks.

Last Monday, it was confirmed that Leonardo DiCaprio's ex Kelly Rohrbach will be rocking the iconic red one-piece bathing suit as CJ Parker.

"For our #BAYWATCH and the iconic role of ‘CJ Parker' I had to make sure @KellyRohrbach was gorgeous running in SLO-MO…" Dwayne shared on Instagram while posting a video of the beauty. "Yes, she's a walking smoke stack but more importantly... she's smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like 'em. Get ready world, we can't wait to bring you our generation's #BAYWATCH!"

Back in August, Dwayne also confirmed that "my dude" Zac Efron will join the "big, fun and RATED R film."

With all of the exciting casting announcements, you may be curious to hear what Pamela Anderson has to say about the adaptation. As it turns out, the blond beauty isn't completely convinced that it will actually happen.

"I'll believe it when I see it, but I wish them the best," she told E! News' Sibley Scoles. "I've heard this for 15 years."

She continued, "It was charming on television and when you make a TV show [into] a movie, I think it loses some of its charm. Looking back, it was, Oh my God! It was innocent, it was sexy, it was fun. We were just happy to be on the beach to get a tan."
