Watch: Meghan Trainor Gives Scoop on Upcoming Album!

Meghan Trainor is still single and still ready to mingle.

At the 2016 People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, the 22-year-old singer talked to E! News exclusively about her love life, new album and moving on after a health scare.

When asked if she has any time for a boyfriend, Trainor said, "No, I'm single, still."

E! News had learned earlier this year that the singer had been seeing Nick Jonas' assistant, Cory Andersen, for several months. The two never confirmed a relationship. Trainor told E! News earlier this year she is looking for a "nice guy" to date, one who will treat her right. She had said at the 2014 American Music Awards she wants a boyfriend who shares her love of cuddling and making music and who is "real cool" and makes her laugh.

Trainor and fellow pop star Charlie Puth, 24, sparked romance rumors when they made out on stage at the 2015 American Music Awards this past November while performing their collaboration "Marvin Gaye." The two have said the kiss was platonic. Puth says he and Trainor are just friends.

Career-wise, Trainor has flourished over the past year. The singer has sold millions of records since releasing her 2014 breakout No. 1 hit, "All About That Bass." Subsequent tracks "Lips Are Movin," "Dear Future Husband" and "Like I'm Gonna Lose You," which features John Legend, have all made the top 20. The songs are all featured on her debut album, Title, which won Best Album at the 2016 People's Choice Awards.

Trainor told E! News she has been working on her new album, which she revealed is titled Thank You. She did not name a release date but said, "We're doing the final mixes this week."

"[It's] amazing to finally wrap it up," she said. "It kills you to hold these songs from the world, it really does. Especially, one of my songs, it's called "Thank You," which the album is called, Thank You, and it's a song to my fans. I want them to hear it now but I have to wait."

Trainor told Fuse TV in December she was wrapping up work on the new album, adding, "It's very new and different, but it sounds like me. I've got a lot to say!"

Trainor also plans to embark on a rescheduled tour after cancelling a concert series this past summer to undergo surgery after suffering a vocal cord hemorrhage.

The singer told E! News people who have heard her new music have told her that her voice has "gotten better" since the operation.
