Craig Strickland's widow, Helen Strickland, recently attended the memorial of his friend Chase Morland after both men died after a boating accident, along with the sole survivor, their beloved dog, Sam.

Craig, the 29-year-old frontman of the country group Backroad Anthem, and fellow Arkansas resident Morland, 22, had gone duck hunting in Oklahoma last week and their boat capsized just as a massive storm hit the area. Officials soon recovered Morland's body, while Sam, was found alive, walking on the bank of a river. Craig was found dead on Monday.

"We had the opportunity to go to Chase Morland's visitation tonight," Helen wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, alongside a photo of herself with Sam and two other people. "He was so loved by so many people. It was encouraging to be around his wonderful friends and family.

"Sam was also invited," she said. "He has truly been a comfort to all of us. We are so thankful the Lord blessed us with such a extraordinary pup."

Morland's funeral is set to take place on Wednesday afternoon in Arkansas. Plans for Strickland's memorial services have not been announced.

Helen also recently posted on Instagram a video of Craig at their 2014 wedding as well as a touching clip he recorded for her to watch on their big day.

"God filled Craig with so much life," she said. "Thank you #craigstrickland for teaching everyone around you how to live life to the fullest. I'm so proud of you."

His band recently released on Facebook the final music video featuring the singer.

"Last year we shot a music video for our song, Torn," the group said. "We wanted to finally release the video and share with everyone so you could have a chance to see Craig doing what he loved. We are so proud of how it turned out, and we know Craig was too."
