Bold statement: Bradley Cooper is the new George Clooney.

He's handsome. He's talented. He's the Hollywood bachelor we all secretly hope we end up with.

Yes, he's currently in a serious relationship with Irina Shayk, and we totally respect that.

But there's no harm in a little crush though, right?

As Cooper celebrates his 41st birthday today (he just gets better with age), we would like to take a moment to recognize all the reasons we find this Hollywood hunk irresistible.

We're going beyond the Hangover hair. Though his hair in The Hangover is basically what we're looking for on OkCupid.

HBO

1. Bradley Cooper launched his career with a small guest spot on Sex and the City in the late '90s. (Remember the episode where Carrie had that unflattering magazine cover?) Getting your start on Sex and the City bodes well for future sexiness.

The Weinstein Company

2. The Oscar-nominated star has played a chef more than once in his career: in the Fox sitcom Kitchen Confidential, and more recently in the 2015 film Burnt. We are choosing to believe that means he cooks for his lady, and he's probably amazing at it. Feel free to get into character by making us a soufflé, Bradley.

3. Fluent in French thanks to his time at Georgetown University, Cooper is a sexy intellectual who basically went to his academic adviser and said: "What's the most romantic language I can learn?"

5. Nothing screams "family man" more than watching Bradley walk the red carpet with his mom Gloria, who has often been his red carpet date.

6. When Cooper's American Hustle costar Jennifer Lawrence spoke out on the gender wage gap issue, the actor vowed to start revealing his salary to female costars to help in their contract negotiations—proving that he's both a feminist and a considerate colleague and friend. If that isn't swoon-worthy, what is?

7. OK, we mentioned this before, but it bears repeating: Bradley Cooper's hair in The Hangover franchise is on point. Though they're hungover in the films, that sexy, tousled mane is bed head perfection.

9. Sometimes Cooper goes for this bad boy on a motorcycle vibe, and we are all about it.

10. Granted the perm was for a role, but still, this takes a certain level of confidence.

Marvel

11. Cooper provided one of the most dynamic performances in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and did it as a tiny, cocky raccoon.

ABC/Scott Garfield

12. Cooper had that kind of adorable, dorky thing going on ABC's Alias. Young Bradley was such a little cutie.

13. The star was named People's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2011 and has since been followed by Channing Tatum, Adam Levine, and Chris Hemsworth. Not bad company, Bradley.

14. The Joy star handled it like a pro, with a polite response, after Barbara Walters called him "very screwable" in a recent interview. Definitely a bold flirting move, but we're guessing Barbara couldn't help it.

15. Can we include the fact that Cooper talks about "culinary orgasms" in the film Burnt as an argument for our crush on him? Because that line alone made us buy tickets to this movie.
