The American Idol winner shared some big news with his fans on social media this weekend. As it turns out, wife Katy O'Connell is pregnant with baby No. 2!
"#2016 is gonna be a good year!" the singer wrote on Instagram while their son Oliver wore a "Big Brother" T-shirt.
Soon after, Kris was asked about the estimated baby due date. Mark your calendars because this little one is set to arrive in June.
Before another newborn joins the family, the "Live Like We're Dying" singer has a few big projects up his sleeves.
In addition to finishing up a brand-new album that is set for a tentative March release date, Kris is also expected to appear on the final season of American Idol.
When a fan asked if he will be on any time in the show's last year, Kris confirmed with "details coming soon."
Until then, the season 8 winner will continue to savor all of his free time with his young son who has taught him a few valuable lessons in recent months.
"Everything has become less selfish," Kris shared with fans when asked how being a father has changed his perspective. "It's a hard lesson but a good one."
