No matter how old you might be, you always want your mom when you're not feeling well.

Kris Jenner especially knows this to be true, which explains why the mother of six "is on her way home" from vacationing in St. Barts to be by son Rob Kardashian's side after his recent health scare, a source confirms to E! News.

Over the holiday weekend, 28-year-old Rob was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after not feeling well. E! News confirmed that doctors performed various tests before concluding that Rob is diabetic.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, who has shied away from the spotlight after having gained an estimated 100 pounds, was home by Tuesday. "He went for a little and is fine now," a source told E! News, adding that the sudden hospitalization and diabetes diagnosis "was a wake up call."

An insider added that tests revealed Rob's blood sugar levels were very high and he was told by doctors that he needs to lose weight, exercise and dramatically change his diet or his health will continue to deteriorate.

Fortunately, Rob will have the unyielding support of the entire extended Kardashian-Jenner clan as he works on developing a healthier lifestyle. As momager Kris told E! News' Maria Menounos recently, "He's OK. He's just working on himself a little bit and trying to be a better Rob, so I just have to trust that he's good...We're all him to support him for whatever he needs, but he's doing OK."

Khloe Kardashian has been candid about her younger brother's struggles and reclusive behavior. "Rob is such a great guy," she told People magazine in a recent interview."He's charming, charismatic, everything. That's what's so infuriating. I'm like, 'Where is your will to live life? Let's be around people!'"

"I've been really trying," she added. "But I have my moments and I do snap. I've offered to get a chef, I'm like, 'What's your excuse?' But it's not just that. I can't win life for Rob. I have to wait until [he's] ready to do it for himself."

On Tuesday, shortly after news broke of Rob's diabetes diagnosis, Khloe Instagrammed a photo of herself looking, as she put it, "melancholy."
