The Today funny ladies are once again co-hosting NBC's A Toast to 2015, airing on New Year's Eve at 8 p.m.
And you'll never guess what they consider the best moment in entertainment in the last 12 months.
"Pizza rat!" they said in unison when I caught up with them while filming the TV special.
"That rat has more talent than almost anyone on a reality show," Gifford said.
Kotb added, "That rat has more hits on YouTube than you'll ever have."
For those who may not be up on their rodent trivia, a video of a rat trying to drag a slice a pizza down the stairs of New York subway station went viral in September. As of this morning, it was viewed more than 8.7 million times on YouTube.
As for music in 2015, Gifford picked Adele's "Hello" as her top song while Kotb named Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk."
