Four months ago, when news broke that Ricky Martin was the father of twins, it came as a big surprise—we had no idea he was expecting, let alone via surrogate. Now, Matteo and Valentino are finally making their People debut (on newsstands Friday) in onesies that match the great outdoors.

Ricky, who is doing the unthinkable (at least in Hollywood terms) and taking care of the boys without the help of a nanny, says M&V are "amazing," "magical" and a great "bicep-tricep workout." They also do down-to-earth baby things like eat, play, burp, sleep, bless Ricky's life, etc.

But about that surrogate...

Ricky says he considered many options to become a father: "Adoption was one option, but it's complicated and can take a long time. Surrogacy was an intriguing and faster option. I thought, 'I'm going to jump into this with no fear.’

"I know people say this is a different type of family," he continues. "Yes, my babies don’t have a mom [present]. But I have a lot of incredible women in my family that will always be there for them."

As for what the new fam looks like when they’re just kicking it around the house, rather than enjoying the ocean breeze, we also have the People en Español cover below. Tom Cruise snagged the cover of People en Inglés this week, but that's another post...
