Watch: Is "RHOA" Star Phaedra Parks Dating?

It's been over a year since Phaedra Parks confirmed she planned to end her marriage to Apollo Nida, but that doesn't mean she's in any hurry to find a new man.

In fact, during an interview at the NBC Experience Store in New York on Monday, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star told E! News that her "first priority is obviously being a mom, and everything else takes a backseat to that"—even dating!

Parks is "still currently married" in the eyes of the law, she explained, "and so, you know, I am a Christian, and I don't feel it's appropriate to date until you're legally divorced."

"Once I divorce I will definitely consider dating," said Parks, "but at this point,my sons [Dylan and Ayden] are my first priority."

The boys' father is currently serving out an 8-year prison sentence for bank fraud, which leaves Parks responsible for all parenting duties. "I think being a single mom is tough because you're the sole provider and you have all the responsibilities on your shoulders," she admitted. "Just knowing you don't have a partner to rely on [is tough[, but you know, you just have to pull up your boot straps and keep going."

And that's exactly what she's doing as she continues to work as an entertainment attorney, TV personality and author. "As long as I can sleep when I'm dead, I can work all day and most of the night, " she told E! News.

Clearly, Parks is committed to being a role model for Dylan and Ayden and acting in accordance with her religious and moral beliefs. That's why the RHOA star isn't even considering dating until her and Nida's divorce is finalized. As she told E! News, "I think it would be irresponsible of me for to bring men around my child while I'm still married, and [to let them be around] people that I don't plan to get serious with."
