Mariah Carey, Merry Christmas

Move over, Mariah!

"All I Want For Christmas Is You" has officially been dethroned as the most-played holiday song of the season, and the new top tune isn't even that new.

According to PlayNetwork, which compiled a list of the top 20 seasonal songs that shoppers will hear over and over again this season, Mariah Carey's song has fallen into the No. 2 spot behind The Shins' 2012 cover of "Wonderful Christmastime."

That's right. Mariah has been beaten by a Paul McCartney cover...not even by McCartney himself!

How is this possible?!

Despite being one of our seasonal favorites since the early '90s, it's now been proven that Mariah Carey's holiday hit isn't invincible.

Rounding out the top five songs shoppers will hear are Christina Aguilera's "Christmas Time" in third, Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping" in fourth, and Jack Johnson's "Someday at Christmas" in fifth.
