When it comes to gun violence in America, politicians have already sounded off—and now it's Hollywood's turn.
A-list actors like Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Aniston, Debra Messing, Amanda Peet and an array of other notable celebrities appeared in a new public service announcement video released Wednesday by Everytown for Gun Safety, a non-profit organization aimed at advocating for gun control.
In the minute-and-a-half clip, numerous familiar faces appeared on their couches, in their beds, and outside repeating the powerfully simplistic phrase, "We Can End Gun Violence" interspersed between shots of gun violence survivors and mothers of children who have been killed by firearms repeating the same words.
In a surprise twist, President Barack Obama himself appears on the screen calling for unity.
"When we come together, Americans can do anything," he declares while looking straight into the camera.
In light of recent tragedies worldwide, this video's creation comes as no surprise.
Hundreds of people have died in the last few months alone from gun violence, including the terrorist shootings and explosions in Paris, at Planned Parenthood in Colorado and most recently, the San Bernardino shootings in California.
Trainwreck actress Amy Schumer, who also appears in the clip, has significant ties to the effects of gun violence after John Russel Houser fatally shot two audience members at a showing of her film at a Louisiana movie theater.
Since the event, she publicly vowed to fight for stricter gun control laws to prevent such events from occurring in the future.
