Brace yourselves, because your emotionally draining Sunday nights are about to continue well into 2016. Showtime announced Wednesday that it has renewed Homeland and The Affair for sixth and third seasons, respectively.

The two shows, which are set to air their respective season finales on Dec. 20, are the top two rated currently airing scripted series on premium television. Homeland star Claire Danes was just nominated for the Screen Actors Guild's Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Drama Series for the fourth year in a row. She took home the award in 2013.

Homeland is set to wrap up season five at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20, with Carrie (Danes) and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) racing to stop a terrorist attack on Berlin after discovering a barely alive Quinn (Rupert Friend), who was tortured by the terrorists planning the attack.

A special 70-minute edition of The Affair will follow at 10 p.m., which promises to answer plenty of long-held fan questions—including who killed Scotty Lockhart.
