Jesse Tyler Ferguson is taking necessary precautions for his health.

The Modern Family actor shared an Instagram photo thanking his doctor after revealing that he had a skin cancer scare on his face, but before you freak out, he was able to get everything cleared up, thanks to early detection. Now, he's just rocking a bandage on his cheek, and still manages to look absolutely fab.

With the photo, Ferguson wrote, "Thank you to Dr. Bennett & his entire team for taking the cancer out of my face. Good luck hiding the stitches tomorrow @modernfamily_makeuphair! #youwannaapieceofme #phantommask #spf75."

The 40-year-old didn't elaborate on the procedure or what exactly happened, but judging by his carefree and funny caption, we're going to assume that all is well.

Ferguson, who has been a constant supporter of Stand Up to Cancer, shared last year that his husband Justin Mikita underwent a battle with the disease at a very young age.

"He was diagnosed when he was 13 and that's sort of an age when you don't really realize what's going on," Jesse explained to E! News at the time. "He goes in once a year for his check-up to make sure he's still cancer free so he's always reminded of it."

He added, "I think it does touch him in a lot of ways. He's thrilled that I'm here and I'm definitely representing him."
