It's been a very long time since we've seen Jess, Schmidt, Cece and the rest of the New Girl crew. But last we checked, Zooey Deschanel definitely didn't look like Fred Armisen in glasses and a wig. Right? You can catch a glimpse of the impostor in the first new promo for season five, which also features Megan Fox and a wedding dress option for Cece that makes her look like a "prostitute for wizards."
Season four ended with Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) getting engaged after they realized they were both miserable apart. This year will focus on the events leading up to their wedding, which include dress fittings, engagement parties and an awkward meeting of the parents.
It'll also include a (temporary) new roommate in the loft when Jess is sequestered for jury duty (a.k.a. Deschanel goes on maternity leave). While we know that new roomie will eventually be Fox's Reagan, who has a very memorable first scene with Simone, it appears there will be some trial and error involved (enter Armisen, who is apparently going to Single White Female Jess to a horrifying result). E! News has exclusively learned another new face joining the cast in season five: Elizabeth Berkley Lauren, who will drop by for one episode in March. The Saved By the Bell alum will play Becky Cavatappi, the new principal at Coolidge Middle School (where Jess works as vice principal).
