Former Disney star Tiffany Thornton's husband Chris Carney has died, E! News can confirm.

The 35-year father of two and Ezekiel Blanton were killed in a single car accident Friday morning at approximately 1:40 a.m.  Per TMZ and Arkansas Times, who were first to report the news, the vehicle reportedly slammed into a tree going around a bend. Blanton, 37, is listed as the driver of the car; Carney was his only passenger.

Carney, a former member of rock band The Prom Kings, married 29-year-old Thornton, known for her roles on Sonny With a Chance and So Random!, in 2011. They have two sons together: Kenneth James  "KJ" Carney, 3, and Bentley Cash Carney, 21 months. According to a local news outlet, Carney followed up his music career by working as a probation officer in Hot Springs municipal court.

Thornton, who hosts a 105.9 KLAZ radio show and blogs for Disney, just recently lost another person close to her far too soon. On Thursday, Thornton posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute to her close friend Brittany Blanton. "I keep thinking this can't be real," she wrote. "One of my very best friends is gone and the place she holds in my heart will never be filled...It was such a blessing having her stand by me in my wedding and I was honored to stand by her in hers."

Thornton's former Sonny With a Chance co-star Demi Lovato was also bridesmaid in her 2011 wedding. Lovato, who brought Wilmer Valderrama as her date, caught the bouquet at what seemed to be a picture-perfect wedding. Although Lovato has yet to directly address Careny's passing on social media, she did tweet on Friday afternoon, "This isn't real." Valderrama, godfather to KJ, has not yet commented via social media.

Meanwhile, actor Evan Ross expressed his grief in an Instagram post Friday:

Actress Cassie Scerbo tweeted a photo of herself with Thornton, Carney, and Valderrama, writing, "I've re-written this a million times, as I just don't know where to begin. This morning we lost an incredible soul…"

Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected by these tragic events.
