Ho ho ho, it's Beans!
Steven Anthony Lawrence, who played Bernard "Beans" Aranguren on the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, has recently been working as Santa's Helper at the Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, California, about 30 miles northeast of San Francisco.
Several shoppers have been posting about sightings of the 25-year-old actor over the past couple of weeks and several have shared photos.
Even Stevens aired for three seasons and ended in 2003. Beans was the annoying, bacon-loving next-door neighbor of the Stevens family, which included main star and youngest sibling Louis, played by Shia LaBeouf, and his older sister Ren, played by Christy Romano.
"It's really weird. I feel like I've changed so much when I look in the mirror. I don't know how people even barely recognize me," Lawrence told The Huffington Post earlier this year. "But I'll be walking down the street and people drive by for two seconds and automatically they'll go, "Oh, my God! You're Beans! Ahhh!' God, even I would have to at least do a double-take."
...and that's probably what many fans did when they saw the actor at the mall.

Lawrence had also played an elf in commercials for T-Mobile and The UPS Store over the past few years and continued to act sporadically after Even Stevens ended run.
And he may have acquired his mall job to research his next role, his first in three years: He is set to play Jingles in the 2017 comedy movie Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D, which stars Dennis Haskins, aka Saved by the Bell's Mr. Belding, as Santa Claus.
