And he's back!

Len Goodman just announced during tonight's Dancing with the Stars finale that he will be back as a judge for season 22!

Len appeared via taped message to address the contestants and pros:

"I've been watching the show from the UK, and I must say everyone has been doing a fantastic job. No you finalists, I want you go tive it your all in these last dances. As for the pros, I've got to mention for you as well—listen up!—Len is coming back next season, and I don't want any of your nonsense. Val, stop pulling that face! Now may the best couple win, and happy holidays!"

It has been quite the roller coaster in terms of Len's status on the show. He left last December, then returned for season 19, then exited again just before season 21 began due to scheduling conflicts with his other show, the UK's Strictly Come Dancing, and the birth of his new grandson.

While he is the toughest judge on the panel that also includes Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli, he also might be the most beloved, with a "ten from Len" being the highest praise you can receive on the show.

This season, DWTS chose not to permanently replace Len, so the judging panel consisted of three instead of four judges most weeks. Alfonso Ribeiro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Olivia Newton-John all appeared as guest judges at various points during the season.

Come back to E! Online later tonight to find out whether Bindi Irwin, Nick Carter, or Alek Skarlatos takes home this season's mirror ball trophy!
