Clear eyes, full hearts, no auto-tune...

Friday Night Lights is getting the musical treatment, y'all. We repeat: FNL: The Musical is happening. "Every day counts. One night matters," The FNL Musical account tweeted on Tuesday. "The Unauthorized #FNLMusical is coming to LA in 2016!" Go on, feel all the feelings while queuing up "Explosions in the Sky" on your phone. We'll wait.

From the masterminds behind the summer's one-night-only hit production of The Unauthorized O.C. Musical comes The Unauthorized Friday Night Lights Musical, which we're hearing will premiere in late spring or early summer (date and venue to be announced later). Dillon, here we come!

Oh wait, it gets even better: Scott Porter aka Jason Street (!) is set to take on the role of Coach Taylor, the role made iconic by Kyle Chandler on the beloved DirecTV series, which began on NBC in 2006 and ran for five perfect seasons before calling its final play in 2011.

Porter recorded a Dubsmash to go along with the chills-inducing announcement, which just proves he is the perfect person to take on the the role of king-maker Coach Taylor. Chandler recently reprised his Emmy-winning role for a hilarious "Don't Talk" PSA for the Alamo Drafthouse.  (Fingers crossed more of the original cast will return and take on different roles!)

The Unauthorized Friday Night Lights Musical is from Sucker Punch Productions' Jordan Ross and Lindsey Rosin, who previously gifted the world with musical versions of The O.C. and Cruel Intentions.

And earlier this month, Ross and Rosin, along with original movie writer-director Roger Kumble, had a Cruel Intentions (non-musical, this time) sequel TV series ordered at NBC. The series will follow the son of Ryan Philippe's Sebastian and Reese Witherspoon's Annette, who was conceived before Sebastian's death. After stumbling upon his late father's journal and learning of the family legacy he never knew existed, he leaves his small Kansas town for a scholarship to Brighton Prepatory Academy in San Francisco.
