Oliver Hudson has no regrets about his most popular Instagram post.

On Father's Day in June, the Scream Queens actor made headlines after sharing a childhood picture of himself and his actress sister Kate Hudson posing with their estranged biological father, musician Bill Hudson. "Happy abandonment day... @katehudson," Oliver wrote in the caption. Bill distanced himself from his two kids days later, telling the U.K.'s Daily Mail, "I say to them now, 'I set you free.'"

Both Oliver and Kate consider their actress mother Goldie Hawn's partner, actor Kurt Russell, to be their dad. Clearly hurt, Bill told The Daily Mail in June, "I had five birth children and I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver's Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate."

In July, Kurt told E! News that Oliver's Instagram post wasn't out of character. "I understood Oliver's sense of humor and since then, there's been some nice back and forth between Bill and Oliver and that's nice to see," he revealed. "You want people to enjoy life as much as they can."

Oliver was asked about it on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live Tuesday.

Asked if her regretted posting the picture, he said, "No, and I'll tell you why. I was actually just talking to you guys about this. It actually started a dialogue. I haven't talked to my father in 12 years. In my sort of dark, crazy sense of humor, I posted this 'Happy Abandonment Day' thing, which, you know, everyone went crazy about. I was just trying to be funny. At the end of the day it was a good thing. We're communicating now. I had an amazing three-hour conversation with him. We're texting and we're trying to see each other. We might be mending something."

"Maybe your sister will get in on the action," host Andy Cohen said.

"We'll see," Oliver replied.

In the same episode, Andy had Oliver answer questions about Goldie and Kate:

• Who is more likely to drop the f-bomb?

• Who has a bigger temper?

• Who is more likely to smoke a doobie with you?

• Who is a grumpier morning person?

• Who would you be more afraid to piss off?

• Watch the video above to see how Oliver answered.
