If you didn't know Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Gerber, you would swear the supermodel invented time travel.

The 14-year-old stunning teenager bares a nearly identical resemblance to her 49-year-old mother during her early years as a new model, so much so that the famous covergirl herself is starting to get a little envious.

"I do and I'm really jealous," she told FABLife's Joe Zee when he asked her if she sees herself in her daughter during an interview Friday. "No, I'm joking. I always tease her 'You have my old legs. Give them back,'" she added.

While her comments are all in good fun, the Vogue superstar acknowledged that there are certain things about Gerber that she has yet to appreciate, including the fact that she can go to bed with her hair wet and wake up with it shiny. "What do they say? Youth is wasted on the young," Crawford later quipped.

As she approaches her 50th birthday, the long-legged Vogue star has lived enough years to know that the saying is true.

"As a mother looking back, I can be like [to her], 'You're perfect,'" she gushed.

While the brunette beauty has not yet reached her milestone birthday, Crawford says her two children, Gerber and her older brother Presley Gerber, 16, have helped her embrace aging.

"I think honestly I am probably the hardest on myself," she said, later adding,"It's beautiful as a mother to watch your children grow up and become whoever they're going to be and I think that makes it easier for me to watch myself also getting older."

In an effort to cut herself a little slack, Crawford often thinks about how she treats her female friends.

"I don't look at them and think 'Count their wrinkles.' I look at them and see their beauty," she said. "I feel like that's what we should be doing to ourselves...why aren't we as kind to ourselves as we are to our girlfriends?"
