NBC News recently conducted a State of Kindness poll online (via Survey Monkey) asking participants which celebrity they considered most kind, and guess which Hollywood A-lister earned the top spot? Ellen DeGeneres! The actress, writer, comedian and humanitarian was considered to be the nicest celeb in Hollywood. Survey participants felt Will Smith, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift were also kind stars.
From surprising people with gifts on her show to constantly greeting her cast and crew with a warm smile, Ellen truly has a heart of gold. The humanitarian has been involved with numerous charities over the years including GSLEN, UNICEF, PETA and Habitat for Humanity.
Another organization close to the Emmy winner's heart is The Gentle Barn, a home and hospital for animals that have been abused. The TV host has urged her viewers to donate to the Gentle Barn, and features the organization on her show's site.
