John Stamos, Jamie Lee Curtis and More Fox Stars Attempt to Sing Iconic Grease Songs, Mostly Fail

Grandfathered, Scream Queens and more stars do their best John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John impressions

Do you remember every word to "Beauty School Dropout"? What about "Greased Lightning"? Chances are if you watched Grease obsessively growing up then you know the lyrics a little better than the Fox stars in this adorable video promoting the network's Sunday, Jan. 31 three-hour Grease: Live. Real talk: They know less about the words to the songs than Frenchy knows about dyeing hair.

In the exclusive clip, which you can watch above, catch the casts of Grandfathered, Scream Queens and more trying out their best John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John impressions on some of the soundtrack's most iconic tunes.

While some of them clearly know their Grease (we see you, Keke Palmer—and thanks for showing off your excellent singing voice, we weren't jealous enough of you already), some of them…don't. Let's just say that the Grandfathered cast makes a very noble attempt at singing "You're the One That I Want," but even John Stamos has a very tenuous grasp of the lyrics.

ABC; Paramount Pictures

Jamie Lee Curtis knows all (or most) of the words to "Freddy, My Love," but unfortunately she chooses to recite them rather than sing them. (Her Scream Queens costar Palmer will take on that tune when she plays Marty in the January production.)

Costarring alongside Palmer are Julianne Hough as Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny, with Vanessa Hudgens as Pink Lady Rizzo, Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy and Kether Donohue as Jan. Rounding out the T-Birds are Dancing With the Stars' Carlos PenaVega as Kenickie and David Del Rio as Putzie. Jessie J will open the show with a live performance of "Grease (Is the Word)," and the network announced yesterday that Ana Gasteyer has signed on as Principal McGee.

Watch: Can Julianne Hough Rock on "Grease: Live"?
