The Voice coach couldn't make it to New York Tuesday to see Behati in the 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, so he sent along the next best thing—no, not Blake Shelton, but dozens and dozens of red roses!
A source tells E! News that Adam, who was filming three live episodes of The Voice in Los Angeles, was very upset he couldn't be there in person to see his wife walk the runway. This wasn't just any show for Behati, either: Following in Gisele Bündchen and Adriana Lima's footsteps, she became the third Angel ever to open the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show two consecutive years in a row.
The Namibian beauty was almost in tears over this honor, a source tells E! News, and Adam understood what a big deal this was to her. So, the thoughtful Maroon 5 rocker decided to have a surprise waiting for his wife when came home after her historic show.
Behati had no idea Adam had something up his sleeve, though, until the moment she walked in the door of their NYC loft! Prior to that, she rocked a chic Versace Couture dress (picked out by Donatella Versace herself from the Atelier Spring Summer collection) at the official V.S. after-party at Tao Downtown.
Eventually, after plenty of celebrating with her fellow Angels, Behati headed home, prepared to kick off her heels and call it a night after a long day's work. Only, instead of returning to an empty apartment, Behati walked in to find her and Adam's loft was filled with roses.
Behati's kidding, of course. She followed up that "I might puke" with a kissy face emoji. And, according to a source, the Angel rushed back to L.A. first thing Wednesday morning to reunite with Adam.
