American Horror Story will return to give you some sexy nightmares with a sixth season in 2016, FX announced.

"With the sixth installment coming next year, American Horror Story has unquestionably joined the ranks of television's landmark series," John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions, said in a statement. "From Murder House to Hotel, AHS has pioneered a new television form as well becoming FX's highest rated show—while also pushing every conceivable boundary of creative excellence and audacity. This is even more remarkable because Ryan [Murphy] and co-creator Brad Falchuk tear up the playbook every year, challenging the entire creative team to come up with something even more spectacular, frightful and entertaining. You could not ask more of an artist, their team or a series and with every new installment they deliver."

Season five, American Horror Story: Hotel, is currently airing with Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O'Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock starring. Over the first four seasons, the show has won 13 Emmys and been nominated 71 times. Murphy, who co-created the show with Falchuk, serves showrunner, exective producer, writer and director on the series. Falchuk is an executive producer and writer alongside fellow executive producers Tim Minear, Brad Buecker, Jennifer Salt, James Wong and Alexis Martin Woodall.

Jessica Lange starred in the first four seasons and took home two Emmys for her work on the show. Lady Gaga joined the cast for season five and Murphy revealed he invited the singer-actress back for season six. And now the speculation begins: What will season six entail and will Gaga return?

American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays, 10 p.m. on FX.
