It looks like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Lea, and the rest of the Star Wars gang has a new force to reckon with—BB-8.

The beloved space droid takes center stage in a surprise newly-released international trailer from the makers of the upcoming episode, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This is the first time fans have witnessed the droid in so much glory, appearing in almost every scene in the 1:52 piece.

Along with Finn and Rey, we also get additional glimpses at Carrie Fisher's Leia, Anthony Daniels' C-3PO, Adam Driver's Kylo Ren, and the distinguishable Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role as Han Solo.

One character once again missing from the pack is Luke Skywalker, who is set to be portrayed by series veteran Mark Hamill. It appears we may need to wait until the film rolls on the silver screen to see the final member of the original trio make his grand return.

The teaser also overtly promises a film jam-packed with gadgetry, from fighter aircraft unloading sparked ammo by the gallons to lightsabers burning with malice.

As for Star Wars newcomer Lupita Nyong'o, we may not get a look at her face, but we do have the pleasure of hearing her trademark voice right before the credits roll.

"Hope is not lost today. It is found," she says as the lights dim on a cinematic shot of a crying Rey (Daisy Ridley) peering out into the distance. What she is looking at, we still don't know, but it moves us all the same.

While there's still a month to wait before Star Wars hits theaters, one fan got his ultimate wish when J.J. Abrams granted him the opportunity to screen the film prematurely.

Daniel Fleetwood, who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, viewed the film in his home after the director learned of his special request.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is in theaters Dec. 18.
