Owen Kolasinski/BFA/Sipa USAJust hours before news hit this morning that Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid have split up after five months of dating, the singer was doing just fine at a hotel party in Hollywood.
Jonas hosted a Birchbox Men and Movember Foundation dinner at Chateau Marmont.
"He was in a good mood," an eyewitness tells me, adding, "He was so happy to see his brother [Nick] and be around his friends for the night. He was surrounded by his best friends."
Sources confirmed to E! News earlier today that Jonas and Hadid decided to go their separate ways because their busy careers were getting in the way of the romance.
"They still remain friends but their schedules started effecting their relationship," one source said of the amicable exes.
The lovebirds were first link in May after Jonas and his longtime girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiler broke up and Hadid split from singer Cody Simpson.
The two did work together over the summer when Gigi co-directed Joe's band DNCE's "cake by the Ocean" music video. But as Gigi continued to travel the world for her modeling career and Joe was focused on his music, distance took its toll.
DNCE recently kicked off a U.S. tour. They play the Roxy in L.A. tonight followed by 20 stops that before finishing up in December in Tampa.
