Britney Spears is proving the adage that it's better to give than receive, with the 27 years young birthday girl bequeathing unto her fans not one but two gifts on her special day. Not only did Spears' second attempt at a comeback album, Circus, drop this morning, the singer has also unveiled, to great anticipation, the dates for her long-awaited North American comeback tour.

Fresh off her blowout "Womanizer" performance on Good Morning America, Spears announced plans to hit the road for her first arena tour in five years this March, setting out on the 27-city extravaganza she has dubbed The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour.

The musical trek, which opens March 3 in New Orleans and wraps up April 28 in Chicago, will feature support from clowns, trapeze artists and trained sea lions the Pussycat Dolls.
