As unlikely as it may sound, the blond bombshell is still required to go to castings and auditions, just like everyone else, and one of her dreams was to become a Victoria's Secret Angel on the runway. Well, that dream came true today.
Fans got an inside glimpse at what it's like when Hadid goes to a casting when Victoria's Secret posted a video on Twitter of the lingerie-clad model showing off her best catwalk strut to secure a spot in the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. And they had a surprise for her, too.
The clip shows Gigi begin her walk in a black bra and matching black panties, her hair flowing with every step and, obviously, she is a vision of perfection. Seriously, it should be illegal how naturally gorgeous she is.
Then, the executive producer of the show says, "What are you doing on Nov. 9 and 10? Why don't you come join us?" Gigi crouched down and yelled, "Really?!" and the tears began to flow. It was a special moment.
"We [love] surprises so here's a BIG one for @GiGiHadid at the #VSFashionShow castings! See you on the runway, Gigi," the VS Twitter wrote alongside the video.
Gigi also took to Instagram and posted a photo of her reaction to landing the gig, and wrote, "Couldn't keep back my tears!!!! Anyone that grew up with me knows that getting this show has been a dream of mine forever! THANK YOU @victoriassecret & @ed_razek! One of the happiest moments of my life. #vsfashionshow2015"
And, of course, boyfriend Joe Jonas was one of the first to give his girl props.
