Mrs. Van Veen is finally joining the club.

Newly-married Allison Williams is freshly back from her Italian honeymoon, admitting to E! News at Forevermark's Celebration of "A Diamond Is Forever" that she's officially a fan of the historic and culinary international destination.

"Italy is not overrated. We'll say that. It is not overrated," the 27-year-old Girls actress said, seemingly at a lack for words. "I had never really been. The food also not overrated." You can say that again!

After exchanging vows with CollegeHumor founder Ricky Van Veen in a star-studded ceremony officiated byTom Hanks in September, Mr. and Mrs. jetted off for a honeymoon in Italia, with stops including Naples and the Amalfi Coast. While Williams was weary to hop on the Italian bandwagon, she revealed to E! News she's become one of those people.

"I can't even, like, it's hard to describe without sounding obnoxious because I've always thought all my friends who like love Italy and talk about it are kind of obnoxious, but now I'm one of those people because it's as if we just discovered it and it's the oldest culture," the actress sad. "The Romans back in the day are like 'Come on, really?'"

Now that she's back in the United States, Williams couldn't stop gushing over her newfound paradise.

"It's the most magical country. I love to nerd out on a trip historically, so I get a guide go around do all the things," she said. "I studied archeology and anthropology a bit in college, so to stand in Pompeii, it's like 'Ugh!'"

While she's new to the married club, Williams has been dating her hubby since 2011, when they met while filming the pilot on the set of her HBO television show, according to the New York Post. Van Veen popped the question in 2014, but the pair pushed back their wedding day after Williams won the role of Peter Pan in NBC's Peter Pan Live!

Fortunately, they did make it down the aisle and all the way to Pompeii. As the Italians say, "Buona Fortuna" to the new bride and groom.

(E! and NBC are both a part of the NBCUniversal family.)
