Pom Klementieff has joined the cast of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, reports say.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the relatively unknown actress has nabbed one of the "new key roles" in the movie, the sequel to the hit 2014 film featuring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. Most of them are reprising their parts, the outlet and Variety reported. Klementieff's role remains a mystery, both publications said.
James Gunn is also returning to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is set for release on May 5, 2017.

1. She is French-Canadian and a former global nomad:
Klementieff was born in Canada to a Korean mother and a French-Russian father, who worked as a diplomat. She spent her formative years travelling, visiting places like Japan and Africa, before moving in with her aunt and uncle in France, where she began her acting career, Filler magazine reported in 2013.
"I was born in Québec under a diplomatic passport because my father was a consul," she told Anthem magazine. "We lived there for only one year, so it's not home for me at all!"
2. She has starred in mostly French films:

3. Her breakout role was in the 2013 action movie Oldboy:
A couple of years ago, she moved to Los Angeles.
"When I came to L.A., it was the first time I felt, deep in my heart, that everything is possible," she told Anthem. "American people are so much more positive than French people."
She was cast in Oldboy, a remake of a Korean film, which was directed by Spike Lee.
"I want to play independent strong female characters, not the heart-broken girls I was playing in Paris," she told Filler.
