The View is back to upsetting its audience. More specifically, Raven-Symoné is angering people once again.
The co-host talked about the Spring Valley High School Assault on the talk show's post-digest and said both the police officer and the student are to blame. South Carolina Deputy Ben Fields was asked to remove a student from the classroom who wouldn't get off her cell phone, but the situation quickly got out of hand.
Footage of his removal, which showed him flipping her desk over and dragging her across the floor, went viral. The police officer is expected to be fired as a result of the incident, per NBC News.
"The girl was told multiple times to get off her phone," Raven said during the roundtable discussion, adding, "There was no reason for him to be doing this type of harm. It's ridiculous, but at the same time you've got to follow the rules in school."
One of her co-host, Michelle Collins, however, did not agree with her sentiments. "You cannot lay a hand on a student," she said.
