Unfortunately, there is no trick in the book to make this disappear.

Famous magician Criss Angel recently revealed that he's been dealing with a very personal and serious matter—his nearly 2-year-old son is battling cancer. Upon hearing the news, fans shared their well wishes and positive words with the star, who took a second to give thanks for their "outpouring of love."

Taking to Twitter today, Angel posted a sweet snapshot of himself and girlfriend Shaunyl Benson and their son, Johnny Crisstopher Sarantakos, lying down after day four of his chemotherapy. Angel wrote, "4th day chemo-Shaunyl,Johnny&I can't thank u enough for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers&support #amazing."

The lymphoblastic leukemia diagnosis first came to light when Angel (whose real name is Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos) had posted on social media Thursday that, in light of a "family emergency," he was postponing some news he'd planned to announce.

Meanwhile, the Luxor confirmed that he has canceled his shows through Nov. 1, the first time he's missed any dates of his nearly 3,000-performance run at the hotel.

"For many years, Criss has championed and raised money for various children's charities here in Las Vegas, but he never thought it would hit this close to home," a Cirque du Soleil colleague told the The Las Vegas Sun. "This is a very personal family crisis."

Angel initially posted a picture of himself holding his little boy (which became the first time the 47-year-old Believe star confirmed that he's a dad) and tweeted, "Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. Criss."
